The ideal candidate is a cannabis expert who is organized, experienced, and detail-oriented.
The Inventory Manager at CannaBarn will be responsible for managing, tracking, and documenting every cannabis product that moves through the store, ensuring compliant, safe, and high-quality standards are always met.
The Inventory Manager will work closely with the general manager to establish and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate product deals, utilize data to determine top sales days and product needs, and ensure the dispensary is fully stocked at all times.
The Inventory Manager will also be responsible for reporting all necessary inventory and product information in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The Inventory Manager will perform the comprehensive annual inventory in conjunction with the executive management team.
Qualified Inventory Manager applicants must have management experience as well as experience in the cannabis industry.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the receiving, stocking, distributing, and reporting of all cannabis products; Work with the general manager to implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory intake, audits and reconciliations, and inventory control; Execute daily, monthly, and yearly inventory audits and reconciliations; Coordinate with the general manager to determine projected inventory needs and place product orders based on data, deals, and predicted sales numbers; Count inventory and communicate inventory status to management; Create and provide daily inventory count audit reports to Dispensary Management; Create and provide weekly inventory audit reports to the leadership team; Manage all cannabis product orders and maintain proper storing, labeling, tracking, and reporting of inventory; Implement inventory tracking and manage seed-to-sale tracking of cannabis products; Ensure products are properly stored, labeled, and recorded in the POS system; Report all necessary inventory and product information to maintain compliance; Document and maintain any products awaiting proper disposal, including those that are damaged, expired, and/or mislabeled; Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers; Maintain an organized and clean inventory storage space; Keep inventory storage space/vault clean and organized; Coordinate waste disposal schedule and ensure that the company's policies and procedures for waste disposal are adhered to; Interface with Licensing and Compliance Representative as needed to support compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety, rules, and regulations; Opening and Closing manager when needed by General Manager; Cross training is a requirement; Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High School diploma or the equivalent required Management experience required, preferably in an inventory control, retail, hospitality, or pharmaceutical setting Proficient in the use of Excel, Google Docs, and similar programs Strong leadership skills and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exemplary time management skills Cannabis industry experience preferred Minimum 21 years of age Must possess valid driver's license or state ID Must pass all required background checks Must complete all required training programs and state agent registration.
